This page describes the cookies and similar technologies (such as the browser’s localStorage and sessionStorage) used by amaki.ai, operated by Instal S.r.l. (Via del Tiratoio 1, 50124 Florence, Italy, VAT number 06681730484). For the rest of our processing of personal data, see the Privacy policy.

What they are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser and reads back on later visits. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage areas with a similar function. Some are essential for the site to work; others are used to measure how it is used and require your consent.

Your consent

On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you answer, and if you refuse, the analytics tools are not loaded and write nothing to your browser. Refusing does not change how Amaki works.

We remember your choice for 12 months, then ask again. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie preferences” button at the bottom of this page: if you withdraw consent, we stop analytics and delete its cookies from your browser.

Essential cookies (always on)

They let you sign in, keep your session, remember your language and country and protect the site. They are all first-party and do not require consent.

  • access_token — keeps you signed in to your profile, including an anonymous one. Duration: 60 minutes.
  • refresh_token — renews your sign-in without asking for your credentials again. Duration: 7 days.
  • session_id — identifies the device session for account security. Duration: 30 days.
  • __Secure-sessionid and __Secure-csrftoken — session and protection of forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) during sign-in. Duration: 2 weeks and 1 year.
  • django_language and amaki_country — the language and country you chose. Duration: 1 year.
  • dora_tier_hint — remembers that you arrived from one of our promotional pages, to offer you the matching experience. Duration: 24 hours.

Browser storage (essential)

These items are also needed for the site to work and do not require consent:

  • amaki_consent — your choice about analytics cookies. localStorage, 12 months.
  • price-ninja-current-user and price-ninja-current-user-anonymous — your profile identifier, to find your conversations again, and whether it is a guest profile. localStorage, until you delete them.
  • price-ninja-last-active-chat — the last conversation you opened. localStorage, until you delete it.
  • amaki_onb_dismissed and amaki_portrait_v1 — whether you closed the introduction, and the image of your taste profile so that it is not recomputed. localStorage, until you delete them.
  • last-auth-check, auth.next and amaki.onb.ospite — sign-in checks and the page to return to after signing in. sessionStorage, deleted when you close the tab.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

  • PostHog — ph_<project identifier>_posthog, as a cookie and in localStorage: a random browser identifier and session data, to measure how the site is used. Provider: PostHog, with servers in the European Union. Duration: 1 year.
  • Google Analytics 4 — _ga and _ga_<property identifier>: distinguish visitors and sessions for statistics. Provider: Google Ireland Limited. Duration: 2 years. Google signals are enabled on the property: for users signed in to Google who have turned on ad personalisation, Google may link this data to their account and also use it to measure advertising.

Shop websites and sign-in with Google

When you open an offer you move to the shop’s website, possibly through an affiliate network: from then on, their cookies and privacy policies apply.

To offer sign-in with Google, the site loads Google’s sign-in library (accounts.google.com). If you use it, Google processes data under its own privacy policy.

Managing cookies from your browser

You can also delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies prevents signing in and saving conversations.

Cookies on Amaki

With your consent we also use analytics cookies (PostHog and Google Analytics, which Google may also use to measure advertising) to understand how the site is used and to improve it.
