How we rank results

Amaki is a price comparison service (CSS): it shows offers from third-party online shops for the product you are looking for. Here we explain which shops appear, in what order, and why.

No paid placements

No shop pays to appear in the results or to be shown higher up. There are no sponsored positions and no ads among the results.

Which shops appear

Offers come from the Price Ninja catalogue, which collects products from many online shops. In each country Amaki shows only the shops on a curated list: a shop that has not been checked does not appear.

In what order

By default, results are ordered by relevance to what you typed:

  • what counts first is how well the product matches your search: the exact product name wins, then the words found across title, brand and category;
  • among equally relevant results we slightly prefer offers that are in stock, discounted or at their lowest recorded price;
  • accessories, and books or games “about” a product, are moved lower unless they are what you are looking for;
  • you can always sort by price, ascending or descending.

The Amaki score

On each offer Amaki shows a score from 0 to 10, based on three aspects: the price compared with the other offers, the time the product saves you or asks of you, and how well it matches what you care about. If you have told us nothing about yourself, we use a neutral profile. The score helps you choose, but it does not change the order of the results.

In the chat, the assistant picks products from the same catalogue and the same shops.

How we earn money

When you open an offer from Amaki and buy, the shop or an affiliate network may pay us a commission. That is how the service stays free. The commission does not change the price you pay and is not one of the criteria we rank results by: whether a shop pays a commission, and how much, does not affect its position.

Prices and availability

Prices and availability come from the data the shops publish and can change. The price that counts is the one on the shop’s website at the moment of purchase.
